Terms of Service
Effective June 2025
These terms govern your use of Girl Math Marketplace. Please read them — they're written to be readable, but they're still a contract.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, browsing, or otherwise using Girl Math Marketplace ("GMM", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts. GMM is region-gated: you must be approved for a region before you can buy, sell, or message other members.
3. Your Account
You're responsible for everything that happens under your account, including keeping your login credentials safe. Don't share your account, impersonate others, or create accounts to evade strikes or suspensions.
4. Acceptable Use
Don't use GMM to harass, defraud, or harm other members. Don't list prohibited or illegal items. Don't scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to circumvent our security or region controls.
5. Listings, Offers & Transactions
Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings and the legality of items they list. Once an offer is accepted, the listing is reserved — sellers cannot modify, relist, or sell reserved, sold, or completed listings to a different buyer. Offers and accepted offers are binding commitments between buyer and seller, governed by the House Rules and the Marketplace Agreement.
6. Strikes & Suspension
Backing out of accepted offers, no-shows, harassment, or other rule violations may result in strikes. Strike thresholds, cool-down periods, and moderator review are described in the House Rules. We may suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion.
7. Fees & Premium Tier
Basic use of GMM is $2.99 per month. Higher subscription features (e.g. premium tier) are billed through our payment processor. Subscription terms, renewal, and cancellation are presented at checkout.
8. GMM is a Platform, Not a Party to Transactions
GMM provides the marketplace, messaging, and dispute tools. We are not the buyer or seller of any item, do not take custody of items, and do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of listings. Transactions are between members and are completed in person and via standard P2P payment methods.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GMM and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising out of your use of the service or any transaction with another member.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GMM and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, your listings or offers, or your violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
You may stop using GMM at any time and request account deletion from your profile. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or the House Rules.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the states in which GMM operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located in that jurisdiction unless otherwise required by law.
