The Inspiration
Girl Math Marketplace was born out of social media selling fatigue. Friends were constantly swapping clothes, beauty products, and apartment finds — but the existing apps felt clunky, full of scammers, or required endless DMs to settle on a price. We wanted something that felt like trading with a neighbor: quick offers, clear commitments, and no flaking. So we built it. The goal is preloved everything, less waste, and the satisfying feeling of turning your closet or home into your next purchase.
Regions
Everything here is region-gated. When you sign up, you join a specific neighborhood or city area, and you only see listings from people in that region. That keeps pickups quick, shipping out of the equation, and the community tight-knit. You'll actually run into the same people again, which is part of what keeps everyone accountable. If your area isn't covered yet, request it — we expand region by region as demand builds.
Moderators
Every region has volunteer moderators — real members of the community who review disputes, issue strikes, and approve new sign-ups. They're not faceless support agents; they're people who use the app themselves and care about keeping the vibe right. If you ever need to escalate something, keep receipts (screenshots, message threads, pickup details) and a moderator will weigh in. Decisions are made by humans, not algorithms.
